You know, the more I think about it, the more I realise that the Allies from Axis Powers Hetalia match up REALLY well with the Mane Six from My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. Don't believe me? Well, I can prove it...

England is Twilight Sparkle. Right off the bat, you have the fact that both of them have incredible magical ability. Twilight can defeat giant rampaging bears that could level a town with her magic, while England regularly summons demons to curse his enemies and can transform into an angel. Additionally, both of them are intelligent and sarcastic. Finally, both of them have social issues; specifically, both of them are initially reluctant to befriend others but end up with a small group of good friends who they trust.

America is Rainbow Dash. Both of them are brash, competitive youngsters with big dreams. Neither of them can read the mood, and neither of them are good at conversation. Rainbow and America like to go fast and can't wait for things. They're both athletic but ultimately loyal to a cause or their friends, and can perform incredible physical feats (the Sonic Rainboom and America's strength).

France is Rarity. Both consider themselves to be high-class. They're both drama queens with a taste for fashion. They both take the time to make themselves look good and have high standards. They are both disrespectful towards those they consider to be "uncouth", and neither are fans of physical combat. They're both good at manipulating others when they need to, but they are both ultimately decent people who are generous.

Russia is Pinkie Pie. Not convinced? Both of them want to make others happy but are seen as being overbearing by those they care about. Both of them get issues from siblings, but they do love them in reality (okay, we don't know much about Pinkie's REAL sisters, but her interactions with the Cake twins count). Both of them always have smiles on their faces – if they're upset, everyone else gets worried. Finally, they both have a reputation for going nuts that is exaggerated by the fans! I'M LOOKING AT YOU, CUPCAKES.

China is Applejack. This one's a stretch. Both of them are honest and hard-working. Both of them can perform impressive physical feats that don't quite beat Loyalty but come darned close – China broke a wall with his HEAD! Both are honourable but also fairly parental to their peers.

Canada is Fluttershy. Oh do I even have to say it?! They're both shy but kind people who tend to go unnoticed, but who are capable of showing a hidden strength that can bring down those who are much more powerful then they are (the Stare and Canada's 3-hour rant at America). Both of them have an intelligent animal sidekick who can be less then helpful.

Need more proof? Well, both groups had problems getting on initially, but eventually banded together to face something that could potentially destroy the world. Both of them have supernatural abilities, and neither group particularly stick to our physical laws. Even after the initial event that brings them together, they still have their issues that eventually get resolved.

Why the Allies and not the Axis? Well...

•  Japan could potentially be TS, but he has never shown magical ability. In fact, he's lost any magical connections he had (as explained by the Kappa).
•  Germany's a possible Applejack, but in a way he's too harsh.
•  Italy could definitely be Pinkie Pie – there's no issue there.
•  Austria could be Rarity, but when have you ever seen Austria be generous? In fact, he's extremely frugal and would probably not be generous enough to fill the Element of Generosity.
•  Prussia is a lot like RD, granted, but he's not loyal! Every team you could argue he's been on has broken up – the BTT (for at least a century if not more), the Axis... he couldn't even stick with his own baby bruder (if you follow the Prussia=E. Germany theory).
•  Who would be Fluttershy? The options are Romano, Finland, Bulgaria and Spain. Spain was neutral, Romano isn't kind, Finland was on the Axis only out of necessity, and we just don't know enough about Bulgaria to call it. No kindness = no Elements.

I feel that, if push came to shove, the Allies could use the Elements of Harmony. Russia is Laughter, America is Loyalty, Canada is Kindness, China is Honesty, France is Generosity, and England is Magic.

...Oh fine. The Flying Mint Bunny is Spike. Happy now, everypony?
This is just a crazy theory that's been bumping around my brain for a while. I might write a fic on it as practise.
